    The Harrison County Democratic Executive Committee is the local organization of the Democratic Party serving Harrison County, West Virginia.We work to strengthen Democratic participation at the local level, support Democratic candidates, connect voters with election resources, recruit volunteers and poll workers, and provide Harrison County residents with opportunities to participate in the democratic process.

    The Harrison County Democratic Executive Committee is composed of Democrats elected or appointed to represent the party locally and carry out the responsibilities of a county political party committee.

    Xavier is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist and United States Army Veteran who works to provide addicition recovery resources in Harrison County. He strongly advocates for the democratic process and for the community to let their voices be heard.

    Kendra is a long-time English and Language Arts teacher, currently working as a Special Education Teacher within Harrison County Schools. Kendra works to provide equal representation and bring awareness of the democratic process.

    Makayla Garcia

    Makayla is a lifelong community advocate who has dedicated her time to ensuring Harrison County becomes a safer and more resilient community for all. Her goal is to provide the community with invaluable information and see the democratic process work for everyday citizens.

    Tamira Rutter

    Urban Representative

    Tamira is a lifelong Harrison County resident with deep roots in community engagement. Tamira co-founded the Young Progressive Women's Association (YPWA) and has continued to support the community in other nonprofit organizations. Tamira currently serves as a Research Associate for legislative processes and brings her knowledge of representation to the committee. Tamira is dedicated to seeing the democratic process expand to younger voters to ensure they understand their voices are heard.
